Jora Vision creates immersive wine experience “Mon Beaujolais”
Hameau Dubœuf, Europe’s largest wine museum & theme park, has contracted experience design & build company Jora Vision to create a new immersive attraction. The park, situated in the heart of the famous Beaujolais wine region in Romanèche-Thorins, France, has been entertaining guests for decades. It was founded in 1993 by Georges Dubœuf, one the most well-known wine merchants of France, to offer visitors a behind-the-scenes look of winemaking and to tell the story of the Beaujolais region.
Now, Jora Vision is creating a new immersive experience in one of the park’s pavilions. The story of winemaking is told through the perspective of a winegrower named Toine, a character making a reappearance at the park. In the first room, guests walk past pages of his diary and discover important innovations in winemaking. Then, guests step into Toine’s house, where he will take them through 2000 years of history from the Beaujolais region. These stories will come to life all around the room thanks to video mapping and back projection techniques. Jora Vision is working with Mansveld Projecten & Services for the audiovisual and show control installation.
"This project is another example of our key strategy of creating customised immersive experiences for theme parks, museums, zoos, family entertainment centres and tourist attractions" explains Jan Maarten de Raad, CEO of Jora Vision. "The last couple of years we have been focussing on design-build projects which tell an interesting cultural story, such as the new “Young Rembrandt” experience in the city of Leiden, the “Bazyliszek” dark ride in Legendia or the “Los Piratas de Bacalar" attraction in Mexico. We are excited to see more and more clients showing interest in our services of design, project management and manufacturing of this type of custom attractions and we are confident “Mon Beaujolais” will be a spectacular example of this!”
“Mon Beaujolais” is set to open spring 2019.
