Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden is hosting “GIF!”, a traveling exhibition about venomous animals and poisonous plants. Beside the standard terrariums with living creatures, Naturalis decided to improve the visitors' experience by adding a number of hands-on exhibits. Mainly targeted to a younger audience, these interactive elements stimulate the process of learning by doing and alternate the attention from the animals to fun activities.

Based on specific topics around the subjects of venom and poison, Jora Vision was commissioned to design and build these exhibits. Terrariums and interactives are placed to interact with each other in various ways. One group of these interactives features the exhibition's “host", Freek Vonk, the Netherlands’ most well-known biologist. Here children are challenged to follow his scientific methods in a quest to discover the fascinating world of venom and poison.
